1. Scope
This policy applies to https://lensrecruit.com and the RecruiterLens platform. RecruiterLens is operated by LENSRECRUITER, an Ontario sole proprietorship (Ontario Business Identification Number: 1001779747). LENSRECRUITER is an individual carrying on business as a sole proprietorship — it is not an incorporated company and it does not have a federal Business Number. “RecruiterLens” is the product and website brand name of LENSRECRUITER.
It covers account holders (recruiters, employers and their team members) and candidates whose information is submitted to the platform.
2. Who is responsible for candidate information
Recruiters and employers decide which candidate information to collect, why, and how it is used in hiring. They are responsible for giving candidates any required notices and obtaining any required consents.
RecruiterLens processes candidate information on behalf of those recruiters and employers, to provide the service they use. For account and billing information about our own customers, RecruiterLens is responsible for that information.
Candidates with questions about how a specific recruiter or employer uses their information should contact that organization first; we will assist them where appropriate. Privacy questions for RecruiterLens itself can be sent to supportlensrecruit@gmail.com.
3. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), organization, role and workspace membership.
- Billing details: plan, subscription status and billing contact. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
- Résumés and applications: résumés, cover letters, contact details, work history, education, and answers to application questions.
- Interview recordings and transcripts, where a recruiter enables and uploads them.
- Evaluations and hiring information: interview notes, scores, evidence, comparisons, AI-assisted rankings, interest confirmations and reports created by recruiters.
- Technical information: basic log, device and usage data needed to operate and secure the service.
We ask that users not submit sensitive information (such as health or protected-characteristic data) unless it is lawful and necessary.
4. How we use information
- To provide the platform: storing records, analyzing résumés, supporting screening and interviews, and generating reports.
- To manage accounts, workspaces, subscriptions and payments.
- To send service emails, such as invitations, application notifications and interest confirmations.
- To secure, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
5. AI-assisted processing
Some features send résumé, application, interview or evaluation content to AI service providers to extract structured information, produce screening insights, evaluations and candidate rankings, summarize evidence, transcribe recorded interviews, and draft content such as job advertisements. AI output is decision-support information that recruiters review.
- AI-assisted rankings, scores and insights do not by themselves hire, reject or eliminate anyone; final employment decisions are made by human recruiters and employers.
- All hiring decisions remain with human recruiters and employers, who should review AI output before relying on it.
- RecruiterLens does not use your data to train AI models.
6. Service providers
We share personal information with service providers only as needed to operate the service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Lovable — application hosting (served through Cloudflare's network), database, file storage, user authentication (Lovable Cloud, built on Supabase), transactional email delivery, and the AI service through which interview audio is sent for transcription.
- OpenAI — AI model used, through Lovable's AI service, to transcribe uploaded interview audio into text. OpenAI receives interview recordings for transcription only; it is not used for résumé analysis, screening, evaluations or rankings.
- Anthropic — AI models (Claude) used for résumé analysis, screening insights, evaluations, AI-assisted rankings and drafted content. Anthropic may receive résumé, application, interview transcript and role information for these purposes.
- Cloudflare (Turnstile) — bot protection on public job application forms. When an applicant opens or submits an application form, Cloudflare's verification check processes information about the visitor's browser and device, such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, and interaction signals, to help distinguish people from automated traffic. Cloudflare handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
7. International processing
Our service providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Cloudflare and Stripe, may store or process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States and other countries. Information processed in another country is subject to that country's laws and may be accessible to its authorities.
8. Retention & deletion
- We do not automatically delete records after a set period. Information stays in a workspace until a recruiter deletes it or deletion is requested.
- Cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete candidates, résumés, interview recordings, evaluations or other stored workspace information. That information remains stored unless it is deleted by a recruiter or on request.
- Archiving a candidate hides the record but keeps it.
- Permanently deleting a candidate removes the candidate record and associated information — including uploaded résumés and application files, application answers, interview recordings, transcripts and AI-generated analysis — from the live system, except information retained for legitimate, lawful purposes.
- Approved evaluations may be retained after a candidate is deleted. These records are not anonymous: they may still contain information capable of identifying the candidate.
- Limited deletion audit records (for example, that a deletion occurred and when) are kept to show that requests were handled.
- Account holders can request deletion of their account or workspace data by emailing supportlensrecruit@gmail.com.
- Deleted data may remain in our infrastructure provider's backups for a limited time before being removed.
9. Security & access controls
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) between your browser and the service.
- Account authentication and workspace-level access controls that separate each workspace's data.
- Role-based permissions within workspaces, and private storage for uploaded files and recordings.
No system is perfectly secure. We do not claim any security certification. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by PIPEDA.
11. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator.
To exercise any of these rights, email our privacy contact at supportlensrecruit@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Residents of other jurisdictions (for example, Quebec, the EU or the UK) may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
